This course covers the specific compliance requirements, consumer data rights, and organizational obligations under data privacy laws and regulations. The aim is to provide learners with the necessary knowledge to navigate data privacy in the digital advertising landscape. The course emphasizes understanding legal compliance around data privacy and highlights the ethical considerations involved. It teaches how to implement robust data protection measures like data minimization, encryption, and access controls to safeguard personal data.
After this course student will be able to
- Understand major privacy regulations: key aspects of GDPR, COPPA, and CCPA, including main objectives and compliance requirements.
- Identify crucial legal definitions such as personal data, data controller, and consumer rights under each regulation.
- Know how businesses can meet the requirements of each regulation, including data protection measures and consumer rights fulfillment.
- Understand the enforcement roles of entities like the European Data Protection Board, the Federal Trade Commission, and the California Attorney General.
- Interpret detail measures for data protection and explain consumer rights such as the right to access, delete, and opt-out of data selling.
- Comprehend how privacy laws affect AdTech operations, especially in data collection and processing.
- Acquire strategies for achieving compliance, including developing privacy policies and implementing best practices.
